Free swimming passes for children reintroduced in Liverpool

As per the news article in the Echo today, it is great news to hear that Liverpool City Council have re-introduced free swimming passes for Liverpool children under the age of 17.

Budget cuts had forced them to be withdrawn but health chiefs said the step to re-introduce them would help cut obesity so £600,000 has been invested so youngsters aged 17 and under can get free entry to Lifestyles fitness centres over the next two years.

This is exactly the type of news Fazakerley9 wants to see more of so credit where it is due, well done Liverpool City Council.

See the Echo story here and to apply for a pass, ask at the reception of any Lifestyles Centre for a form or download it from www.liverpool.gov.uk/lifestyles
